Sea Freight from Germany to Nigeria
Through our partnership with GOMAT Cargo Services GmbH, based in Pfaffenhofen, Germany, we offer sea freight from Germany to Nigeria for larger, heavier or non-urgent consignments. Shipments are booked with our German partner office and received and cleared on the Nigerian side by our Lagos office, Maits Global Service Ltd.
Who this is for: Businesses and individuals in Germany sending household goods, commercial stock or bulk consignments to Nigeria.
FCL vs LCL
- Full Container Load (FCL): Book an entire container for larger shipments
- Less than Container Load (LCL): Share container space and pay only for the volume you use, billed by Cubic Metre (CBM)
General rule: If your cargo is under 10–12 CBM, LCL is usually more economical. Above that, FCL becomes competitive.
Transit Time
Sea freight from Germany to Nigeria typically takes approximately 4–6 weeks from vessel sailing date, subject to port schedules and Nigerian customs clearance.
